Betrayal!

It was to be expected when unthinking people voted Jerry Brown as California’s governor for the second time. He betrayed voters once before when elected governor, but this time around it’s even worse.

He deliberately signed into law something that is directly against the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, a basic law intended to give citizens the ability to protect our Constitution from misuse, abuse and corruption of government that has become so rife in the nation today.

This law takes from American citizens one of the basic rights our patriotic forefathers wrote into the Constitution, i.e. the right to protect life, home, country and the freedoms that make America great.

Since the end of World War II, the people have changed, especially here in California. As a child and young adult, I observed that our neighbors were just that -- neighborly.

A change seemed to grow after WWII. The warmth between neighbors cooled. Their attitude wasn’t hostile, but they just didn’t seem to care.

Then worse things happened.

We were brought up in the old pioneer way of unlocked doors. Until we missed a rifle and shotgun. Then, tires disappeared from vehicles. Gasoline and tools disappeared from sheds and toolboxes.
