The Shasta Country Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships to high school graduates or high school seniors planning to further their education.
To qualify the applicant must be the son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of an active duty, retired or honorably discharged member of the United States Military Forces.
Applicants must be planning to attend a college, university or approved vocational training and should have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
Completed applications are due by March 15.
Interested individuals can secure application forms from their high school scholarship counselor or by writing to Shasta County MOAA, P.O. Box 491506, Redding, CA 96049-1506.
