The Redding branch of AAUW will host its Women in Math and Science Conference for 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls on Saturday, March 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shasta College.
The goals of the conference are to increase young women’s interest in math, science, engineering and technology-related fields, foster career awareness in related fields and to provide young women with the opportunity to meet and form personal contacts with professional women in technical fields.
The day will begin with a continental breakfast and a keynote address. There will also be four workshop sessions scheduled throughout the day.
The cost is $20 per student and each registered adult.
