Letters to the Editor

I have struggled with multiple sclerosis (MS) for two years.

When my order for physical therapy ended, Kevin allowed me to continue using the facility for a small monthly fee any time I needed.

The entire staff has kind of taken me under their wing and helped me deal with my MS and physical limitations. At one point I was unable to make a figure eight with my hips so I asked Kevin what I should do.

He said, “Well, I am not much of a dancer,” and that I needed to work on the hips.

We all started laughing over that.

Those kind of events help me to deal with my limitations and lack of memory.

It takes forever to learn everyone’s name.

I would apologize and say, “What was your name?”

They would say, “No problem,” and repeat the name.

This kinda became a game that has worked as a brain exercise and has helped me to improve my short-term memory.

A few months ago I went to my doctor at UC Davis and he told me my MS had become active. I was shocked because I had been feeling so great.

I came home extremely depressed. I was on prednisone and ill-tempered.

When I went to Kevin Snyder’s for my regular gym day, I had to apologize for my bad frame of mind. Again, they were extremely understanding and supportive.

I really believe that if I did not have their help and support, I would not be where I am today.

I have started back to work part-time.

With MS, you sometimes feel like giving up. I go to Keven Snyder Physical Therapy and they always bring me up.

Thank you Kevin and staff. I appreciate you so much.
