Anderson High (2-1 NAL, 9-12) dominated their game against Yreka Friday night, winning 63-50
The Cubs took an early lead, ending the first quarter 14-12. The Miners fought back and were down by three going into the half.
Anderson continued building on its momentum, dominating on defense. The Cubs put up 18 points offensively in the third quarter and kept Yreka to just five.
The Miners tried to pull something together in the fourth, but were unable to close the 13- point deficit, losing the league match-up.
Garrett Greenhaw and Jacob Booker ended the night as Anderson’s lead scorers, putting up 11 points apiece.
Anderson hosted West Valley on Tuesday and will travel to Shasta Lake on Friday to take on Central Valley at 7:30 p.m.

Anderson 71, Yreka 55
The Anderson girls traveled to Yreka for their league win on Friday.
The Cubs (3-0 NAL, 15-6) broke out with an early four-point lead and just built upon it one hoop at a time.
Going into the half, Anderson lead the Miners 29-21.
The Cubs put up 23 points in the third quarter and added another 19 in the fourth, all the while playing a strong defensive game.
Emily English put up 17 points for Anderson, Katie Nunnelley had 14 and Fallon Greenhaw chipped in 11 points and four assists.
Nunnelley lead the team in rebounds with 13.
Anderson played West Valley on Tuesday and will host Central Valley on Friday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
