The 25th annual School and Community Solidarity (SACS) dinner and dance is set for Saturday, Feb 18, in Fusaro Hall at the Shasta District Fair grounds in Anderson.
Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m., said event founder Bob Reid, who hopes to retire as an organizer after this year’s event.
Dancing and prize drawings will follow the dinner and continue until midnight, Reid said.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person and available at the following locations:
• Anderson Union High School District Office
• Aurora Fryer, call 395-3175
• Gateway Chiropractic Clinic
• Shasta District Fair Office
• Bob Reid, call 347-3506
• Anderson Athletic Club, call 365-0181
The SACS dinner/dance promotes public relations and is not a fundraiser.
It has been a popular community event since its introduction in l987.
“Only 380 tickets will be sold and they usually go pretty fast,” said Reid.
“If you plan to attend, please purchase your tickets as soon as possible to avoid being one of those disgruntled people who waited too long,” he urged.
For a quarter of a century, SACS continues to be one of community’s premier social events with great food, good music, good fellowship and wonderful prizes, Reid noted.
“Take this opportunity to renew old friendships and make a few new ones. Make it a night to forget all your problems and dance the night away with us. You won’t be sorry,” Reid promised.
Public support will help make the 25th year a memorable one, he added.
